Session 3: July 28 – August 8

Time: 9 am to 3:30 pm

Spend the summer exploring and discovering the fine arts and digital arts with new and old friends. Imagine a camp so dynamic and fluid that you can follow your curiosity and imagination from paint to photography to animation and robots with breaks for a LAN game and/or a high-energy game of dodge ball. Camps will participate each day in sports and board gaming time. There will be inter-camp challenges in basketball, chess, volleyball, Monopoly, and dodgeball. There will be field trips once a week (bowling, movie, etc…) and on Fridays a camp supplied pizza lunch. Imagine that you can choose to widely explore your field of interest guided by the resident artists or follow a narrow, intense interest in greater depth using the resident artists and associates as resources and coaches. Join us for an enriching and fun summer.

Digital Arts Camp (ages 8 – 16)
Campers freely explore, and some may master, many of the digital world’s powerful expressive tools: Digital Photography (Adobe Photoshop, Apple iPhoto), Digital Music and Sound (Apple Garage Band and Audacity), and Digital Movie Making (Apple iMovie). Also Stop Motion Animation and Lego Robotics will be explored.

Studio Fine Arts Camp (ages 10 – 18)
Campers discover and grow the visual artist within. They will be presented with many materials and resources and an exploration process designed to draw out the artist in them. Studio Fine Arts Camp is also designed for the more advanced artist who is highly focused on a project of his/her own or working on their college portfolio. Campers make use of our spacious new painting and drawing studio and expansive sculpture patio. Mediums include watercolor, acrylic paints, artist markers, oil pastels, wire, plaster tape and paper-mache, wood and stone, and more.
