About Us
The New School was founded in 1989 by its current headmaster, John Potter. It has an enrollment of approximately 150 students in grades 4-12.
The New School of Northern Virginia is dually accredited by TheSouthern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)

The 2009-2010 yearbook promises to be more special than ever. The yearbook will be full-color and will include photos from the end of last year (prom, graduations, field day, and more). The majority of the book will be lots of new candids and events from this year. We have a very small staff this year, but they are dedicated and hard working. This yearbook promises to be the best yet!
Every year students are given the opportunity to design a third page of the yearbook as their own. Seniors are given a full page for their designs. Reserve your yearbook this year! The price remains $60. Print out the form, fill it in, attach your check made out to The New School, and send it in to the office. Due Date: April 23rd.

This year we are asking parents, teachers and students to send in their photos to be used in the yearbook. They can be sent through email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or brought in on a cd-rom or flash drive. They need to be of good quality and resolution.
