The New School of Northern Virginia warmly welcomes you to its website. We are a small, independent private school located in Fairfax, Virginia. We were founded in 1989 and serve grades 4-12.Our website will give you an overall picture of our beliefs, mission, and approach to education. In particular, we encourage you to select "Through the Eyes of Our Students," immediately above, to view short interviews with school community members. These interviews offer an interesting and authentic picture of who we are.
If you wish to learn more about The New School, we invite you to attend one of our Open House events or schedule a personal meeting with the headmaster or director of the high school (9-12) or lower school (4-8).
