Exhibitions PDF Print E-mail

You will present one exhibition each quarter. Your morning module or afternoon module teacher will give you a copy of the Exhibition Handbook: A Guide for Creating and Presenting Exhibitions, and will go over it with you each quarter. The purpose of this booklet is to help you prepare a successful, quality exhibition. Your morning module teacher will also guide you in the achieving specific benchmarks in your research and preparation so you will be able to present on time. If you lose your copy of the Exhibition Handbook, you may download a replacement copy from the school website.

You will answer the essential question of the class and demonstrate your understanding of the coursework and the essential skills around which the course was designed. You must be able to defend you statements and respond to questions from the audience. You will learn and demonstrate proficiency in specific research and presentation skills, including: creating a research question, a working outline, an annotated bibliography, a bibliographic essay, a written abstract, a defense of your research, effective visuals, etc. (Some students use PowerPoint and other multi-media tools for their exhibitions.)

Time is spent during the final week of each quarter for students to present their exhibitions and to view those of their peers. Students are evaluated both on content and presentation.
