Visitors

 

Anyone coming to the school at 9:00 or after must sign in with the office. This includes parents, alumni, and other visitors. As previously stated, any parent or guardian checking a student out early must sign the student out through the office.

Students who wish to bring a visitor to school must obtain a visitor's permission form from the office at least one day in advance of the planned visit. The form must be taken to the High School or Lower School Director for written approval to get teachers' permission for the visit. Each teacher whose class the visitor will be in must sign the form, indicating approval or non-approval. After all signatures are obtained, the form is taken back to the appropriate director for final visit approval. The High School and Lower School Directors as well as all teachers reserve the right to deny permission for a visit. Visitors of New School students will be considered the responsibility of the student with whom they are visiting. Visitors who arrive at school without permission will be asked to leave the premises immediately; failure to leave will result in the police being called and trespassing charges filed. Similarly, visitors must respect and obey the rules of The New School, and any visitor failing to do so will be asked to leave immediately. Visitors are not allowed to ride the van to lunch and are not allowed to go on school field trips.
