Each student is required to inform an appropriate teacher or staff person of his or her whereabouts whenever he or she is going to be unsupervised, whether at lunch, on a field-trip, or during a class. Teachers and staff will trust that the students are where they say they are going to be.
A teacher or staff member who has this trust violated even once by a student has the right not to allow that student to go unsupervised. Students that repeatedly violate the trust that teachers and staff place in them will lose the ability to go unsupervised.
Students may not congregate at The New School after school hours, except during officially sponsored school events.
