No Smoking Policy

No smoking is allowed on school grounds, or in the Mantua Professional Center, including the sidewalk directly in front of the Center's entrance. Students are not allowed to smoke during school hours, at after-school events, or on school field trips. Students are not allowed to smoke before or after school while on school grounds.

It is the official policy of The New School of Northern Virginia that we are opposed to cigarette smoking and discourage students from smoking at any time, including during non-school hours.

The New School would like all its community members students, staff, and parents and guests, to agree that while on the grounds of The New School or while under the school's supervision they will not smoke. The school would like everyone to agree not to smoke from the time they arrive in the morning after they leave school grounds for the day. If they go on all-day field trips, they will not smoke.
