Fairness Committee

Charged with finding justice for students and for the school community. Its activities include individual fairness committee sessions, grievance committees, peer mediation, amending the constitution, and investigation.

 

Academics Committee

Charged with providing student input into the academic life of the school. Its activities include advisement to the school on curriculum and scheduling issues, peer tutoring, and creation of the literary magazine.

 

Admissions Committee

Charged with representing student perspectives during the admissions process. Its activities include marketing and promoting the school community, guiding student visitors, meeting with new students and advising the headmaster regarding admission, assisting with open house, and assisting with orientation.

 

Service Committee

Charged with providing opportunities for student involvement in service to the school and to the community. Its activities include weekly recycling collections, crew, school service activities (lab assistant, tech assistant), and organizing community service activities.

 

Community Committee

This committee is charged with promoting and celebrating The New School community and for providing positive experiences for members of our community. Its activities may include the planning and execution of events such as the Winder Dance, Secret Holiday givers, the Lake House Trip, the Ski trip, and the amusement park trip.

 

Tech Commitee

This committee is charged with ensuring that the tech equipment works correctly.
