New School Admission Process

For elementary and junior high students, a brief phone interview is held with the Lower School Director to discuss enrollment possibilities. If you then wish to continue the process, the Lower School Director will schedule an interview appointment with either the Headmaster or Lower School Director. If, after application papers are submitted and reviewed, The New School seems to be a suitable placement, a classroom visit for the student will be arranged.

For high school students, a personal interview with the Headmaster can be scheduled by phone with the office. After the interview, if you wish to apply for enrollment, application papers should be submitted. If The New School seems to be a suitable placement, a classroom visit for the student will be arranged.

The following should be submitted for application:
  • A completed application form
  • Copies of recent academic records
  • Copies of educational and other evaluations and reports
  • Two Confidential Teacher Recommendation forms, mailed directly to the school (At least one should be from a current teacher.)
  • A $75.00 application fee
